Functional capacity evaluation looks at an individual’s ability to perform work-related activities through performance based evaluation, self-report questionnaire and expert assessment.  This 2 day International FCE Research Conference provides an opportunity to gather with a small group of researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders with a special interest in work assessment and FCE to discover and discuss new research findings, novel assessment techniques and strategies and other policy related issues.  Topic areas for the 2020 conference include – measurement properties of FCEs and work, behavioral considerations of FCE, integrating technology into FCE, patient outcomes/outcome measures, physiologic performance measures, and future research directions. 

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts for research papers and presentations are being accepted through March 10th, 2020. Special theme areas of the conference will include:
  • measurement properties of FCEs and work
  • behavioral considerations of FCE
  • integrating technology into FCE
  • patient outcomes/outcome measures
  • physiologic performance measures
  • future research directions
Final conference agenda will be announced in early April.
