How can I volunteer or get involved with the Chapter?
The Chapter has several committees that you can join. View the committee lists and contact the committee chair for to learn more about the various activities and roles and you can play.
In addition, the Chapter has several volunteer opportunities including:
- Sacred Hearts Physical Therapy Clinic (Washington, DC) is a free clinic that provides aid to the poor and uninsured. The clinic is still in need of PTs/PT student volunteers for Saturdays as well as supplies. If anyone is interested in volunteering their time or supplies, please contact Katie Drummond at lwsacredheartclinic@gmail.com.
- Baltimore Adapted Recreation and Sports is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing recreational opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities. They have year-round clinics for adapted sports and other activities. Physical therapists are frequently utilized, especially for assistance with positioning.
